First off, I know that the numbering is a bit ‘different’ than it was compared to last year. That’s the point: it’s a new calendar year, and with it is a new labeling. 3-S1 ~ My Year of the Cat Predictions 2022

Beginning on 2/1/2022, we will start seeing – or perhaps not seeing – a mysterious creature wandering into our lives, one that is of equal parts endearing fascination and frightening combativeness. And even all of the catnip and scratch pads in the world might not be enough to contain it. To put it another way, it will be the start of the Year of the Cat. First off, a quick note: In nearly all Asian Lunar Astrology interpretations, it’s called the Year of the Tiger, as this large cat was one of the most predominant hunters in Asia. For that matter, in some Asian Lunar Astrology interpretations, the Year of the Rabbit, which comes next in line in the system, is relabeled the Year of the Cat. Having acknowledged this, as Tigers are still cats and most cats in the wild – including domestic cats when allowed to spend as much time outside as they wish – share very similar traits in how they operate, it just makes more sense to call this year in the Asian Lunar Astrology cycle a generic ...
